I was just out in my yard when-- get this!-- C brought my pot back. Clean.
The return was followed up with the question, "You don't happen to have a can of tomato soup, do you?" I said, no, we don't eat much tomato soup in the spring.
It's only now that I wonder whether answering in the affirmative would have meant also reloaning him my pot.
there'll be days like this
the children are short, the days are long

And you call me a food snob?! What, is tomato soup in the spring like wearing white pumps after labor day?
Wouldn't be caught dead with a tureen of the red stuff during ASPARAGUS season.
I could go on.
Go on if you must, but I have no desire for tomato soup in the spring. You can eat it all damn summer if you want to and I won't say a word. I don't like soup when it's warm anymore than I like salad in winter.
serve it chilled...mmm,V8 in a bowl, or some call it GAZPACHO!!
