A little taste

Just a little taste of what it was like after we put the kids to bed. Twice.

They finally fell asleep around 9:45. And what time did they wake up?
6am.
That's right.
6am.

Better me than you, right?

I'm not sure it was worth it on your part, but Lydia had the time of her life. We had a pretty great time too. Thanks again.

Of course, it was totally worth it!
Lydia was a perfect guest and the kids did absolutely nothing that wasn't expected. Since when does any child ever go to bed the first time they are asked at a sleepover? Or in general?

You are always welcome to sleep over, Cortney. Bear in mind we will only let you sleep for the paltry 4 hours that we got when we "slept" over at your house...

hey, you know we would have all gotten even less sleep if i hadn't demanded you both put down the rock band controllers and walk away from the xbox at 4am. maybe we could've even gotten 4 and a half hours if you could have convinced Poppa J to tone down freakin sawmill operation in there.

Hey! I resemble that remark. I am all in favor of forgoing sleep for any reason possible and video games is more than enough to keep from succumbing to the tyrrany of sleep. however, i was recently in AZ and a coworker decided to stay up all night because she was too drunk and dizzy to lie down, fearing a keith moon type scenario, and she was in bad shape the next day as we flew home. it seems like a good idea at the time but it always ends up costing you more than a day to make it up.
