Sebastian is an exceptionally clever boy, but he has not yet figured out why puns are funny. He thinks they are hilarious when he hears them, but he then thinks that he can substitute anything into the formula and it will still work. For example, he recently read a book in which a character gave someone a valentine reading "Bee my valentine and I will call you honey."
Sebastian made two valentines today.
Butterfly my valentine and I will call you nectar.
Love bug my valentine and I will call you leaf.
"That's because love bugs eat leaves, Mama."
there'll be days like this
the children are short, the days are long
